>  St. John's wort. This supplement increases the production of a chemical in the brain. If not used properly, it may cause eye and skin sensitivity, mild gastrointestinal distress, fatigue and itching.

Although a lot of herbal products claim to be safe and natural, it is better to scrutinize the ingredients and  research about the effects of the product itself before going for these herbal dietary pills.

2.  Organic food. 

Around the world organic food has found its way to more homes and restaurants. Organic food devotees believe that consuming organic goodies help their bodies as well as the environment.

A person who buys organically raised eggs and vegetables claim to be healthier, and they are not spending money on doctors and prescriptions as these keep them healthier and away from the hospital. This could also be an option for weight watchers, as organic food is known to be kinder to your weight than chemically-processed food products.

3. Green Tea. 

Studies show that intake of green tea, or green tea extracts burns extra calories. Also, green tea with caffeine can increase fat burning by up to 40% thereby reducing fat.

This is one good option for those who want to lose weight. In a study done, people who took green tea were found to lose 2 to 3 times more weight than those who did not drink green tea.

These results show that green tea is a natural product for the treatment of obesity. Thus, it also makes for a healthier dietary option, not to mention the good effects that it has on the body as compared to caffeine. A cup of tea gives an emmediate energy lift without the side effects of caffeine.

Coffee provides an energy boost to increase fat burning. Caffeine also provides a likelihood to be active, which in turn increases your rate of calorie burn.

Losing weight is the topic on many of our minds. If its so important, why do so many of us fail in our weight loss efforts? Well, while I do want you to like who you are, fat and all, I will not say what people want to hear if it’s not the truth. You’re here because you want to change your body.  I’ll say what they need to hear to do that very thing.  So if you have been working out for a few months and you haven’t seen any changes, then there is a problem with what you are doing. If your not working out, but think your on a great body changing program, you can stop right here. You’re overweight because you’re inactive.

What I have come to understand is that many people are smart enough to know what needs to be done to change their bodies. What I also understand now thanks to my experience with others that are overweight is that knowledge is not what makes us succeed when trying to lose fat. It’s putting that knowledge into practice. So if people know what needs to be done to change their bodies, why are they not doing it?

One reason is because the bad habits that made them overweight somehow makes them feel better now than they think they will once they lose weight. In other words, immediate satisfaction. We all know that most things that are worth having in life take effort. If this is you, than learning about discipline is your first step.  The other is that its easier to be overweight now and enjoy your bad habits than it is to put in the effort on a fat loss program if your not 100% sure that this program your on will help you lose fat. You’ve tried to lose weight before right? Your still here looking for answers too. That tells me two things. First, you have unresolved personal issues that need to be dealt with professionally because you have adopted unhealthy habits that help you mask your personal pain. Second, you’re still overweight.

So if you have tried weight loss programs before, (more than you care to admit) and you haven’t lost weight, do you think there is a problem with every one of those fat loss programs? Or do you think maybe the lack of results lies within? Don’t turn away, this is facing the facts time if you want to change your life.

You see here is the problem I face. As a personal trainer working with people who want to lose weight, I have the knowledge to do this. But they have to use it in order to lose weight, I can’t move for you (yes I’m talking directly to you). I’m writing this with you in mind. How can I be talking to you without knowing you? Because everyone that wants to lose weight faces the same personal demons. I know you. You are my living.

Nothing happens on a weight loss program without movement! It takes calories to move, and using calories is the heart and soul of a weight loss program. Now I’ve told you that in order to lose weight you must move. Are you going to move or sit there and stay overweight?

If you are still sitting there overweight, read on.

Another reason that people cant break the bad habits that are holding them back is because at some point something or someone did or said something to this person that has preprogrammed them to think bad things about themselves. Things like: your fat, your over weight, you will never lose weight, and you’re big boned. Programmed to think that in some way you are flawed and doomed to a life with some sort of shortcoming that makes fat loss impossible for you! You are living out life overweight because someone somewhere did something that scared you. You are allowing someone's none caring actions to affect your life! You have let someone control and undermine what you are capable of becoming. Don’t. To the person that said something to you..."to h-e-double hockey sticks" with them!  Go ahead say it! It’s time to get tough.

T-F-A-R Thoughts lead to feelings causing actions that create your results.

Those people don't know what your cable of or how perfect of a person you are, and you know what? Neither do you. Not until you do your very best will you know what you can achieve when you truly apply your self to a serious fat loss lifestyle. If this person told you that you are weak willed, fat, ugly, or lazy, then that's their perception of you. That's not you. You are and can be so much more.

Let me set the record straight right here right now. You are not a special genetic freak. If you are human (and I hope you are, if not “live long and prosper”) then you can lose weight. Read that again. If you are human, you can lose weight.

If you continue to believe that you are destined to be overweight, then you will fight with your inner self to be anything better. In essence if you change and stop feeling lazy, weak willed or fat ect, you will loose your old identity. The “fat ego” has a way of wanting to self preserve (even though outwardly you want to lose weight, you really do), so it will fight you. This is why change is hard. This is why starting a new fat loss life style will be a challenge. You must recreate yourself and become something more wonderful and beautiful than before.... lose your old self and create a better you. Step up and become involved with life. Do not stand on the sidelines any longer. Fight that “fat ego voice” that wants to keep you down. Other people (even family who are often the cause of your personal pain) will get in the way. Obstacles and challenges will come. But this is about you and fixing yourself. You have to come first sometime. Now is the time.

 · Anaerobic 
 Aerobic exercise саuѕеѕ уоur heart аnd muscles tо work vеrу hard, pumping blood rоund уоur body аt а high rate tо gеt thе oxygen tо thе muscles іn order fоr thеm tо kеер working. A side effect оf thіѕ іѕ thаt іt produces acid іn уоur muscles, lactic acid tо bе precise. It іѕ thіѕ lactic acid thаt саuѕеѕ уоu muscles tо stiffen uр аftеr уоu hаvе finished, causing уоu pain. Lactic acid аlѕо stays іn уоur system fоr а long time аѕ уоur body finds іt hard tо break іt down. If уоur body саnnоt break thе acid dоwn іt wraps іt uр аnd stores іt аѕ fat! 

 Thе main type оf aerobic exercise thаt people dо оn а regular basis іѕ running, уеѕ thіѕ helps build fitness but іf уоu wаnt tо reduce уоur weight уоu саn оnlу concentrate оn building fitness оnсе уоu gеt dоwn tо а sufficient weight. Whаt уоu ѕhоuld concentrate оn tо start wіth іѕ reducing уоur weight аnd nоthіng else, fitness соmеѕ later. 

Thіѕ іѕ whеrе anaerobic exercise соmеѕ in. 

Anaerobic exercise саuѕеѕ thе heart tо work harder thаn normal whісh ѕtіll pushes thе blood аnd oxygen аrоund thе body but dоеѕ nоt work thе muscles аѕ hard аnd thеrеfоrе dоеѕ nоt create lactic acid. 
Furthеr mоrе anaerobic exercise helps іn releasing stored fat аnd acid аnd helps іt іntо thе waste system ѕо thаt thе body саn gеt rid оf it. Remember уоu саnnоt ‘burn’ оff уоur weight. Thе phrase ‘burning оff calories’ іѕ а myth!

· 15 minutes warm uр walking аt а pace slightly faster thаn уоur normal walking pace 
· 60 minutes walking аt а high pace thаt gеtѕ уоur heart pumping 
· 15 minutes warm dоwn walking аt уоur normal walking pace. 

 If уоu саnnоt manage thаt tо start wіth find уоur оwn level аnd start thеrе аnd slowly build uр tо thіѕ level. Remember thе warm uр аnd warm dоwn thоugh аѕ thіѕ іѕ vital.

I don't believe that anybody can have a true abundance in ANY area of their life without first feeling immensely confident in themselves. And the main determining factor in any person’s confidence is how they feel about their physical being (or their body); and the shape and health of a person's body is determined, to a large extent, by certain universal laws that absolutely must be followed each and every day.

Here's an example of just one of those laws...I once heard it said that nearly 70% of all the energy a person uses during the course of a single day (70%) is used simply to digest the foods they eat.  Therefore, if it takes 100 grams of energy (bear with me for using such basic terminology here) to digest each and every meal you eat during the day, but by improving the efficiency of your metabolism, we can get your body to digest each meal using only 50 grams of energy, then you could have nearly double the energy to put toward all your normal daily activities.

So if one of your main life goals is to make more money, would it beneficial to you if you had more physical energy to do the daily tasks necessary to build your financial streams? What about all the added mental energy that you would have to put towardcreatively designing new ways to handle all the daily challenges that every entrepreneur faces today? 

Personally, I never had success in my life until I took control of my body.  I remember feeling like a failure in everything I did. I remember not even wanting to go out of the house because I didn't like the way I looked, in fact, I specifically remember not wanting to leave the house even to go to the store to buy food because I hated the way I looked in all of my clothes.

Today, I rarely think about the clothes I'm going to put on each day because I feel confident that, no matter what I wear, my body will make those clothes look good.  All clothes just hang better on a body that's in shape.  That means that guys who wear their shirts 'untucked' no longer HAVE to do that (unless they truly like that style) - and women who wear black because it's 'slimming' can now wear any color they like - because their BODY will make that color look good on them.   

This is the way everyone should feel! When I finally took charge of my physique, everything in my life got better - my social life improved, my health improved, my family life improved, my spiritual life improved, and my financial life skyrocketed. I went from feeling like nobody noticed me to being picked out in a crowd of people (the right people).

Here's a horrible fact that I regularly speak about in my teleseminars and live events; in today’s society, without a nice body, people subconsciously make life a bit harder for you. You see it all the time. People who are in good shape almost always get treated differently by others. Now I’m not saying that’s fair it’s absolutely not - but it’s a fact of life, so why not take advantage of it? You see, you can’t change the fact that most everybody else in the world seems to treat good-looking people better, but you can change the one person who really matters, and that’s you. You can make yourself as strong and healthy-looking as possible, making life easier for you and setting a good example for your family so that they can also live a more successful and healthy life.

Good looking people climb the corporate ladder faster, they portray more authority when they stand in front of their staff, they get more preferential treatment, and they have far more stamina to take on all the work that's necessary in order to build a powerful company or business.

There are eight people in my inner circle of friends, all of which own businesses which gross from $5 million to $700 million annually - the bigger the business, the more focus that owner puts on staying in top shape.  These people aren't stupid, they don't want to grow a huge company then not be in good enough health to enjoy the rewards -- and the secret that all of these folks have is that being in good shape didn't start when they became successful - it started way before that - and probably had a lot to do with their success.

Many people set out to lose weight with good intentions of sticking it out until they reach their goals. In fact, they intend to lose those unwanted extra pounds for good without ever seeing them again. So then, why is it that so many people lose weight only to gain it all back again? And why is it that so many people get frustrated and quit trying before they even lose any weight?

Of course dieting to lose weight takes some planning and some will power to stay with it, but a big part of the reason why so many people seem to be on a perpetual diet but never seem to lose weight often has less to do with their will to want to do it, and more to do with falling victim to some common mistakes dieters regularly make. Let’s look at some of these mistakes and some solutions to them.

One big mistake that dieters make is assuming that certain foods can be eaten in high quantities such as fat-free foods. It needs to be understood that just because a food is fat-free doesn’t mean it is calorie free. When you consume more calories than you use, you will gain, not lose, weight. 

Many people who tried one of the many low-carb diets out there thought that they could eat as much as they wanted as long as the food they ate had low or no carbs. This way of thinking is wrong. It is still a matter of controlling the size of your portions that makes the difference. Keeping track of your overall calorie intake each day is imperative to a proper weight loss plan.

Another mistake that is made by dieters is expecting too much too soon. When you come to the conclusion that you want to lose 30 pounds, this is a realistic goal. When you decide that you want to lose those 30 pounds in one month, this is not a realistic goal. Maybe your 25th high school reunion is coming up and you want to be able to fit into that dress or suit you wore 25 years ago.

 This is only possible if you take the time to allow yourself to properly attain that goal. Weight loss is best done at 1-2 pounds a week, not at 1-2 pounds a day, so set a small goal of say losing 5-7 pounds in a month, then set another similar goal and so on, until you reach your ultimate goal. 

Not eating enough is yet another common mistake dieters make. The fact is, if you eat too little calories, your metabolism will slow down and you will go into what is known as “starvation mode”. This promotes major fat conservation for survival purposes and any weight loss will therefore come from the breakdown of muscle tissue, not fat! For the average adult female, it is not recommended to consume below 1000 calories and the average adult male should not consume below 1200 calories unless under the direction of their doctor.

One of the biggest mistakes dieters make by far is not planning for how to keep their weight down once they lose it. Often, people make the mistake of going on a “miracle” diet that promises super weight loss and although these types of diets are very dangerous and I absolutely do not recommend them, some people actually do lose weight on them. The problem is, these types of diets are designed to end at some point (which is a good thing since you would probably make it into the obituaries with a prolonged stay on these diets). That means that you would likely resume your old habits when it’s over thus accounting for the returning of all the weight you lost on the diet.

Of course getting some exercise is a key part in successful weight loss as well, but putting together a well thought out eating plan designed to stay with you for the rest of your life is the real key to taking that extra weight off and keeping it off for good. Be careful not to get caught making the mistakes mentioned here and you will have a much better chance at weight loss success.

Recently, I was reading about a diet plan where you throw everything out of your pantry.  Although this sounds like great news for the supermarkets, over the short-term, this leaves very few choices for you to actually eat.

People believe that they must pay penance for their eating sins.  Dietary and exercise torture seems to be good for the conscience and the prescription of the day.  How else can we explain “off the wall” diets and “extreme” exercise programs?

Whatever happened to eating in moderation and using common sense?  Even if you are eating a “diet cookie,” you can’t have all you want.

If you travel, or eat in restaurants frequently, you have to eat in moderation, space your meals out, carry healthy snacks, or visit the salad bar at your local supermarket.  There are plenty of good choices, and it won’t cost you an “arm and a leg.” 

When you eat, you shouldn’t feel stuffed after a meal.  This slows down your digestive system, similar to the principle of a “log jam,” and you may not eat for six hours or more, depending upon the amount of food consumed.  This is a time when your body is crying to go for a walk.  

You should feel comfortably full every time you leave the table, and you should eat five or six times a day; three moderately-sized meals and at least two healthy snacks.  

Sorry to say, diet cookies are rarely healthy.  If they were of nutritional value, I would live on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Diet.  

Now back to reality, if you love dessert, you can’t give it up for life.  
Depending on the state your health, you may have to seriously cut back.  
Therefore, consult with your family doctor, get a diet that makes sense, and please walk, swim, or exercise regularly.
